Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"Really nice place with great food and authentic service! Highly recommended."
"The service was so warm, we were welcomed into such a delicious culture. The khachapuri was so good!! And the tiny dumplings (I forgot what they’re called). This is a very special restaurant."
"I loved this friendly, convivial place. The food was delicious, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. I'll be back for sure. I should say there is no sign on the street, so I pressed the button at 17 rue Bleue, the door opened and-- voilà!-- there was the entrance at the back of the courtyard."
"Unique, hidden place with Armenian (or sometimes Georgian) dishes. It’s the farthest door in the backyard, first floor. You will feel like you’re not in Paris anymore, the atmosphere is one or a kind. Prices are very ok but watch out, cash only!"
"Quite a lovely lunch. Hidden location inside a courtyard. Mostly group diners of 4-8 all in an equally jovial mood as the staff. Was suggested to try a lurid green drink by a neighbouring table… perhaps skip that one and go for a cherry soda instead next time! Atw thé Eggplant with mince was yum and very filling. The choice of cracked wheat or rice. Was a pretty big portion and you’re given pita bread/unleavened bread. Didn’t have room for dessert! Will be back and the chicken smelt really good. Dining room felt very « community » , clean but simple (think of it as a canteen less of a restaurant in décoré but the food is great quality. Prices are very reasonable. Will be back with a bigger appetite to try the chicken, desserts and that cherry drink."
"Great place. The lady makes it even greater. You can’t miss the elegant lady with super cute glasses and the distinctive brooch. Food is diverse, don’t expect only Armenian food but also food from the neighbouring countries and the food tastes great! Major tip, when looking at the building blue door number 17, from the main road, ring the bell - only after you get to a yard and will see the other door of the restaurant building."
"Warm and inviting place, big servings and tasty food. The hosts are very friendly and the ambience was wonderful with regulars and families. A bit difficult to find so if you call them they can guide you, otherwise you can enter the main complex (the door is blue) without a code and enter till you see a place with flags. Strongly recommended."
"Very good food served in this restaurant. Staff is friendly and welcoming. Restaurant is very simple, feeling at home. Be aware you need to entire the building door (no code) and cross the courtyard."
